At Snowshoe Camp Resort, we know how exciting nature can be. We invite you to experience the thrill of nature for yourself through our camp’s outdoor activities in Ontario. You’ll soon realize that nature has a lot to offer throughout the year. You can go snowshoeing with your family for winter break, fish with friends during spring, cool off at our sand beach in the summer, or go hunting in the fall.

In the winter, you can snowmobile from the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs’ trail network right to your cabin! If snowmobiling isn’t your thing, we have a variety of activities that make winter fun for everyone such as ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and of course, snowshoeing. Enjoy an invigorating day outdoors, have a game of pool, or test your skill at cards. Bring a warm sleeping bag, and spend a weekend or longer to experience a winter wonderland with us.
All cabins are winterized and have hot running water all year round. Minimum stay is one night.
Don’t forget Spring Break! Bring the kids for a week of great winter vacation activities, such as in late winter and early spring, when we tap our own trees and make maple syrup. Book a stay, and come taste homemade Canadian maple syrup.
In the spring, you can put on your birdwatching hat and enjoy the view of nearby species of birds migrating as our feeders entice the winged travelers to stop for a rest. Waterfowl, in particular, enjoy the first open water at the end of the bay.
If you are more of an avid lake trout fisherman, you can come to chase the hungry trout as the ice recedes.
Regardless of your interests, many of you will simply be rejuvenated by the sights and smells of the new season.
In the summer, swimming, sandcastle-building, canoeing, fishing, walking trails, birdwatching (loons, ducks, songbirds, and hummingbirds) all add to the fun!
Our sand beach is perfect for your children and those of you who like to bathe in the sun. But all of you can enjoy the free paddleboat, canoes, kayaks, and swim raft. Peace and tranquility prevail at our family-friendly resort.
In the fall, especially in October, our woods are ablaze in yellow, orange, and red leaves. So bring your camera to capture the moment!
During the day, the warm sun makes for a great hiking or pike and bass fishing trip. Evenings can be spent enjoying a good book, cozy fire, or billiards game.
For those of you who like to hunt ruffed grouse and moose, you can start your hunt at Snowshoe Camp Resort in October.
For those of you who like to hunt deer, you can start your hunt at Snowshoe Camp Resort in November.
We fall under Wildlife Management Unit, WMU, 37 for information on what’s in season and online hunting regulations.
Any time of the year is fishing time at Snowshoe Camp Resort! Go ice fishing, spring fishing, summer fishing, or fall fishing.
